The earth spins another circle around the sun and it's now 2025. President Gas is President Gas again, the days are cooler for a few months, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, and we all have new music from Swervedriver and The Miki Berenyi Trio to look forward to.
Fires in the Northern part of Los Angeles have destroyed over 23,000 homes and taken many people from this world, one of my coworkers lost his house. I'm hoping all those affected get taken care of by their home insurance and they decide to find areas to live in safer environments. Nature doesn't care where you live, and it was a culmination of nature's power to have a dry environment and two days and nights of high winds. Southern California is usually a paradise, but we were reminded that we're just temporary residents and subject to nature's fury. Like the cycles of nature, we will rebuild and hope that changes are made as to zoning and water availability in the future. It's heartening to see musicians and artists dedicating their time to give to charities supporting firefighters and victims of the fires.
