On Friday, October 11th Meagan Masingill and I premiered our first episode of Friday In Love, our new live show after the departure of our Vapour Trail Co-host Greg Peters. Greg had two requests for one of his favorite bands and was listening to the show, along with our faithful listeners from Australia to California to Tennessee to Florida and New York.
We had to premiere our show with The Cure, as their new album Songs Of A Lost World is out November 1st and we played both the current singles Alone and A Fragile Thing. We played B-Sides, covers, remixes and live versions along with some choice album cuts, took requests from Mindy Scurto, Craig Tigwell, Mark Cross and Meagan's mom. Look for the premiere of Friday I'm In Love on Podbean where you can download it, listen on your phone or computer.
Coming up on October 28th we have Shane Speed of the band Sea Of Days with his new show Seasons Change. Shane will be playing songs that reference each month and giving background on the seasons and celebrations, along with playing new releases. You can purchase Sea Of Days here: seaofdays.bandcamp.com/album/
The days are getting shorter and cooler in the Northern Hemisphere. As I write this at 10:30am the weather is cool and overcast with a breeze ruffling the leaves on the tree outside my window. I'll still wear my shorts and short-sleeved shirts as long as I can though. But the coolness is a nice respite from the oppressive heat of the summer months.
